Description: Journey north from Fairbanks into the White Mountains Recreation Area for a scenic hike and tasty picnic dinner. Our hike begins just below treeline and soon we will find ourselves hiking through alpine tundra and enjoying vast vistas and the stunning light offered by the late evening sun. Hiking distance is approximately 1.5-3 miles (subject to the desires and consensus of the group) with a few hundred feet of elevation change. We will walk at a moderate 'exploratory pace.'
