Abstracts
Come share your experience with others interested in learning about innovative and effective extension and engagement programs and partnerships at the 8th Biennial ANREP Conference at the Kanuga Conference Center in Hendersonville, North Carolina.
This conference will feature diverse presentations, posters, round table discussions, workshops and tours related to a variety of natural resource disciplines including wildlife, forestry, water quality, fisheries, sustainability, youth education, community engagement and more.
General sessions will highlight the role of Extension and partners in outreach and engagement to address emerging issues, create opportunities, and make meaningful impacts. Accepted abstracts may focus on broader, natural-resource-based issues and opportunities for Extension in engagement at local, state and national levels.
Abstracts will be reviewed based on one or more of the following:
- Quality of Extension educational program
- Engagement with stakeholders/audience/partners
- Evidence of research base and evaluation plan or outcomes/impacts
- Innovation in the use of technology or other tools/methods
ANREP conferences provide great opportunities for professional development and therefore we are seeking presentations that allow participants to enhance their skills in and knowledge of engagement and partnership. Presentations focused on interdisciplinary programming, collaborations with researchers or multi-state efforts are highly encouraged.
Presentation Format
- Oral Presentations - 30-minute sessions including time for questions and answers.
- Roundtable discussions - Interactive 60-minute sessions.
- Workshops - 2-hour sessions (including discussion/questions); should incorporate activities that engage participants. We anticipate six workshops at the conference.
- Posters - Posters will be judged and awards presented. Poster presenter(s) must be present during poster session.
