The University of Idaho Cooperative Extension System is seeking applicants for a tenure track position of Assistant Professor, Natural Resources/Community Resource and Economic Development. The position is located in Clearwater County and will be housed in Orofino, Idaho.

The Extension Educator will provide overall leadership in educational programs for Natural Resources and Community and Economic Development (75%). In addition the Extension Educator will provide leadership and support to the Clearwater 4-H Coordinator related to 4-H program management, volunteer development, and activities related to North Central Idaho (NCIA) sub-regional youth programming (25%).

In cooperation with University of Idaho Specialists, other Extension Educators and governmental agencies, the Extension Educator will plan, develop and implement educational programs in natural resource education, providing support for the Logger Education Advancement Program (LEAP), and other issues related to small and commercial woodlands such as sustainable woodland management, marketing, forest health, wildlife habitat, land transfer and estate planning.
